After initially starting by out-sourcing all printing and having no real control over quality or quantities, we have now brought everything we possibly can in house. All our t-shirts are hand printed, with love, right here in the UK, in our very own workshop by us and now using organic cotton.
Trained by Ryonet and Dave Roper- considered the best in the industry by many, we now have complete control from start to finish. Every single garment is made with the same love and passion we share in exempt.

We print in a small workshop in Chichester, West Sussex using the good old fashion methods. Mesh screens, manual carousel, squeegee and elbow grease! We use non-toxic and non-hazardous inks. Our cleaning products are the same too. Our inks are Phal free whilst our cleaning products are made from soybeans. We try to use local companies and order consumables in bulk.

At exempt we like to know exactly where our products are coming from and how they are made. We only use manufacturers and factories that are members of the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) or Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP). These factories are visited and audited to ensure they follow the strict FWT/WRAP code of labour practices.

We use organic cotton where possible and do the best we can for the environment.

As well as printing all our own designs, we also offer our printing and manufacturing services outside of exempt. So if you’re a club, company, charity or an event after official merchandise, we can offer anything from casual to specialist technical clothing and race jerseys. For more information drop us an email on info@exemptclothing.co.uk
